The database that I have created was designed for the Kingswood Film Club and it will be used to keep track of members, films, reviews and payments. The aim of the database was that it should be easy to use and it should store all of the information without problems.
The database was made in Microsoft Access as it allowed me to create multiple tables in one database and link them together which made the database work and store all of the information that was placed into it.
There were many features that were implemented in order to make the table unique and one of these features was the age check. The age check allowed to database to decide whether to allow a person to register for the film club and deny access to the person if they were under the age of 15. This was made by adding in a formula that would make the table recognize the D.O.B(DD/MM/YY) of the person registering for the film club. Another feature was the username generator that allowed the table to generate a username for the users as they registered by using their details in the username.
If I were to improve upon the database I would change the appearance of the database to make it look more professional and easier to use as it looks too cheap and unprofessional in its current state.
I think that the current database is easy to use and has all the basic functions needed to work properly and it can store all of the information into each of the tables without any big problems so there is no need to change the database if it continues to work fine.
