Verbal
communication has helped me when completing my work as I have to ask my
teachers for help when I am stuck on a piece of work and don’t understand. This
is the main method for getting help to complete the tasks I have been set. I
have used verbal communication a lot during the unit and it has helped me when
completing some of the tasks.
Teacher
broadcasting demonstration
Teacher
broadcasting demonstration is used by the teachers when showing a demonstration
of the task through a presentation. This is normally done before attempting the
task so I have a good bit of knowledge of how to complete the task and it has
helped me to get prepared for the task. The addition of projectors makes it
easy for demonstrations to be done and get the work out to a group of students.
Using Blogger
Blogger is a
blogging website which is used to publish work onto the internet. When the work
is published on blogger I can get feedback and make corrections if needed. The
service allowed me to customise my site with my own themes and layout to make
it personal to me. I am able to access the website from home and school which
allows me to post on the blogger at ease from different locations.
Using Gmail
Gmail is an email
service which is used to link to my blogger. It is a good service to use as it
can be used from home and in school which makes everything easier as I can get
emails notifying me when my work has been marked and when I have a deadline
approaching if I set up the Google Calendar feature using the same email. As Gmail
is a free service, there are a lot of advertisements on the page which can be
disruptive and off-putting.
Using
PowerPoint
PowerPoint is used
to create powerpoints of my work which has helped me present my task in a
unique way. The program has helped me in the production of my work as it gave
me the ability to create presentations that I could upload to my blogger which
included images & text. The program gave the ability to use different
themes that made it look more presentable and effective. The only downside to
the program was that when uploading the PowerPoint to blogger I had to export
the slides as .jpeg which was time consuming and a setback.
Using Publisher
Publisher is used
to create projects such as leaflets and posters. It has helped me make my work
and complete tasks by using the leaflet templates for my dummies guide. The
program made it straight forward and easy to use as it created a professional
looking leaflet which helped me get the mark on the task. Publisher was an
easy-to-use program which I enjoyed using due to its simple design and
interface.
Using Google
Calendar
Google Calendar is
used to create a timetable and schedule for my work deadlines which I will need
to meet deadlines in order to complete the task. This was a very effective tool
as I was able to receive notifications when a deadline for a task was
approaching and this helped me stay on task and complete work before the
deadlines.
